I hadn't been to the London Fashion Weekend since I was about 15 with my mother, and my has it changed (for the better)! The stylish event is now held at the amazing Somerset House, where fashion week is actually held! (Which I think is an amazing idea, and I think it allows the younger ticket holders experience the industry a little better!).
I was lucky enough to receive a press pass for this event (pretending to be important and strutting about!) because I entered the blogger competition, I didn't win but went on the guest list, so I wasn't complaining. I hadn't been to Somerset House since LFW in September, so I was feeling very nostalgic when I walked back into the atmosphere. If you haven't been to the event before, it is basically a chance for the public to experience fashion shows and lust after and buy certain brands at discounted prices. If you purchase your ticket you also get a lovely gift bag filled with all types of cosmetics and goodies!
I kind of knew how the whole event worked and I was on a schedule due to having to be somewhere at 6, so I didn't get a chance to catch any shows or talks. However I did fall in love with lots and lots and lots of lovely brands showing at the event. So much so that I want to do two separate posts about a couple of them! (So stay locked to read about them!)
Maybelline had a visually pleasing and brightly coloured stand with lots going on, and I am kicking myself I didn't purchase some nail varnishes and the lip balm everyone is banging on about! The other brands that I was excited about was the Radley collection due to being surprised how much I wanted! I always saw the brand as a quality leather goods but more for a older ladies, but I love the black clutches and how cute is that doggie clutch? I also loved the Finlay & Co collection, which was no surprise because I have been a big fan of them since attending a Serge De Nimes event last year! Also how bloody lovely are those Prada sunnies at The Sunglasses Hut, oh the sparkles!
It was a lovely way to spend my Friday afternoon, so thanks to Chloe at LFWEnd allowing me to gain my press pass and stay tuned for 2 upcoming posts about my 2 favourite jewellery brands at the event! (P.S. You may guess who they will be about if you head over to my instagram @nowherefastblog)
Did any of you go to London Fashion Weekend?
