My original FOTD post I did about 4 years ago (back in the OG blogger days) is one of my top 5 visited blogposts EVER! So I thought it was about time to give it a little update over here. To be honest with you, I feel like my go-to daily makeup is ever changing. I'm such a beauty junkie that I always have new stuff to try which I add in and out of my daily routine. Over the past year I've been super lucky to work with some of the world's best and biggest beauty brands via my job so I get to constantly try new things (my makeup bag just keeps growing). I might even do a blogpost about my job and career advice on all of this. I also tend to do a lot of giveaways on my Instagram as I always have so much, so make sure you're following me!
However I digress, something I do keep going back-to is the MAC Studio Fix foundation, mostly because I feel like it's the only one I've ever been shade matched too correctly (I'm NW13 in case you were wondering). I am someone who has like 15 foundations all different colours to match at different times of the year; if I've fake tanned, if I want a thicker one for a BNO or a light coverage one for holiday. You name it, it's on my shelf. So it is quite nice to have those cult ones you go back to as you know it does its job.
If I have a spare 5 minutes in the morning I will do a super quick contour, using a concealer under my eyes, on my forehead, above my cupids bow and on my chin. Then a light contour on my cheeks, nose and forehead. I really love how small and thin this Sleek one is, allowing me to quickly apply (I tend to apply this one in dots so it's easier to blend as it's a little dark). I don't tend to do much to my eyes in the week but if I do I like to pop a brown shade over the lid and go in the crease with a darker shade of brown - quick and easy.
I won't leave the house without the finishing touches of highlight and at the moment I'm really enjoying this ice shade one from Too Faced. Whenever I wear this I always get people noticing and complimenting my highlight - I think because it's a bit different and more obvious than a gold highlight.
