I was lucky enough to attend the VIP launch party of the new Serge De Nimes Carnival '78 launch party on Wednesday night in Marleybone. It was hosted by Oliver Proudlock (Made In Chelsea) who is the founder of the Serge brand at the Imitate Modern Gallery. The launch by Proudlock had taken inspiration from his mother Lena, with the photos she took when visiting the renowned carnival in Rio De Janiero in 1978. The gallery was a bright and intimate space, decorated with framed Serge carnival t-shirts and filled with a who's who of Chelsea. While catching up with Oliver Proudlock, he told us his obsession with denim (he was wearing a vintage bleached denim jacket) and how that was the next step for the brand. I also asked what it was like to work with his mother, and he gushed about how much he loves it. During this brief conversation the other two members of 'the lost bois', Francis Boulle and Jamie Laing came to show their support.

I also got the opportunity to talk briefly to Jaime Laing and Phoebe-Lettice Thompson, Jaime had just finished at an all day shoot for his Candy Kittens brand and even left early as he had MIC filming the next morning. He also talked about how the brand is going from strength to strength, and the pop up shop in Leeds last week went really went. Jaime also went for the vintage denim jacket look for the event, as well as sporting a classic Serge De nimes t-shirt. Phoebe also looked great in her red Moncler jacket, especially as she came straight from working at Tatler.

The whole night was great, so a special thanks to Imitate Gallery, Oliver & Lena Proudlock and the Emerge Limited PR. I fell in love with some of the jumpers that were for sale downstairs at the event, and the Good Life tee has definitely made it's way on to my wish list! Buy online here http://sergedenimes.com/

The pop up gallery event is on until 20th April, so make sure you go down to see some of the Rio images and a chance to buy some of the Serge apparel at the Imitate Gallery (27a Devonshire Street, London, W1G 6PN)
