Porefessional Pro Balm & Matte Rescue - Benefit
As you are probably very aware (as I pretty much shout it from the roof tops) I am a person with very shiny/oily skin. This causes lots of agg when I spend a lot of time making my face all contoured and sh*t, to it all to melt right off my face by lunchtime. YAY SHOUTOUTS TO PROBLEM SKIN. So I am always and I mean always welcoming to new products that can combat that.
Benefit are probably one of my all time fav brands and a lot of my go to stuff is Benefit (hula you da one). When I first saw the Porefessional Matte Rescue I was beyond stoked, mostly because I LOVED the packaging and just thought it was super cute. Also like I said, I am open to trying anything that helps the shine!
I feel like you get quite a lot for your buck with this product. It comes out like a sort of gel - it's a bit thicker than a moisturiser. You then just put a thin layer over your face, or I even tend to focus on my oily areas - so my nose/ t-zone area. Then you can carry on your normal make up routine. The first few times I used this, I felt like I really noticed a difference! I still ended up with a shiny nose by the end of the day (my most problem area) but the rest of my face was a lot more matte than usual. However when I have used it more recently I don't really notice the difference that much - which is odd. Maybe my skin has got used to it, who knows? I don't really know any other products like this on the market - especially ones that sink into your skin and not just make it sticky (I'm looking at you Becca matte primer!), so it is still my most go to oil SOS item.
Now the Pro Balm is something I have seen a lot about all over the world wide web, especially with beauty YouTubers. Now I totally dig this stuff, I feel like it's a really good primer and also a sort of blur cream. It's quite a thick, matte consistency which really helps smooth out your skin and make pores less visible. I feel like there are quite a lot of these sort of products how there but it is hard to find the right one for your skin sometimes (check out a highstreet dupe here). What I also really like about this balm is it's a sort of beige tone and not just a plain white/clear primer. So I haven't been able to put this baby down!
