I AM BACK. Long story short, I met a boy & then I unmet that same boy. So yes I feel like I now have time and passion to put back into my blog (don't know if that's a good thing or a sad thing).
But today I am back talking about my favourite thing...make up. It's actually probably quite concerning how happy makeup makes me (or hella materialistic). This is a pretty special whopper of a beauty post really because it's about the whole of the Benefit Brow collection. So these came out last month meaning I've had quite a bit of time to use them and really test them out in my daily routine. And heads up this range is straight up fire, I now use Benefit products over Anastaisa Beverly Hills (which is a HUGE thing for me, I have sworn by dipbrow for years and is my cult go to product. I do still love you dipbrow). I'll go more into my routine and must haves from the range a bit later on.
So I was lucky enough to go to the launch of this brow collection on the Good Ship Benefit in Embankment (which is so amazing btw, a defo must visit if you are a beauty junkie like me - it's open until August). So I was taken through what each product did, how to use it and if it was already part of the existing brow range what updates did it had (i.e Gimme Brow). I was then given the chance to test out all of these brow products there and then (wiping your already done brows off in public with a bunch of perfect looking bloggers was not thrilling though)! However this was such a worthwhile session as it allowed me to really understand what product was best for me (and getting to spend time with my blogger babe - Stef)
Then a couple of weeks later the most awesome and kind gift arrived at my door. So thank you lovely ladies - you are DA best! So everything from the Benefit Brow range is now mine & I couldn't be happier (as well as making my pals super jealous).
Now I have to admit I haven't really used this little compact much. I don't think I've used powder on my brows since I first discovered you could actually fill in your eyebrows and not go for that weird foundation look (nice). So it really isn't my go to product, but I do love how everything is there all together so you don't have to have lots of different products to think about or carry.
Another update on an original brow item and the packaging is WAY better. I think Gimme Brow was actually the first ever product I tried from Benefit all of those years ago. I always had trouble with my Gimme Brow as it was pretty dark so I had to try hard not to get too carried away. But now Benefit have introduced more colours so you can find a better match YAY!
Benefit's version of the notorious Pomade. So straight up - it's not as good as the actual ABH one, I'm afraid. It's really nice and creamy but it doesn't have the staying power and isn't as pigmented. I feel like you have to build this one up quite a lot and I would rather use other products from the range especially if I have limited time.
My personal favourite from the range and it's now my go to brow product (I'm not sure if this is because I ran out of the ABH Wizbrow though). I love to use this to fill the beginning of my brows with this baby, it really allows me to create those hair like strokes and builds up easily. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
So an update on the already brilliant High Brow (again I prefer this packaging so much more)! Plus as added brow glow which is more of a golden colour, so a perfect brow highlight for the summer months! I think one of these is defo a must have for your make up bag! You can break the rules and use it as a cream highlight all over your face too! Because glowing is the one. Always the one.
An eyebrow setting product has been on my beauty wishlist for an age and I just never got round to getting one. So I am very thankful I now have one in my life, as it really makes a difference. Like I've already mentioned a million times; I have (and still am) a sort of die hard Anastasia Beverly Hills fan especially when it comes to the old brows and the one winning factor they still have is that longevity of wear. I do find that if I don't set my brows when using the Benefit products they are more likely to come off. Now I don't mean they don't last throughout the day because boy they do, I just mean I am more cautious about touching them or how they are looking by the end of the day.
This is another go to and favourite from the range. I tend to use this first to brush out my brows and define and fill in the ends of my brows, before moving onto the precisely brow pencil to fill in the rest. I actually prefer this to the ABH version because it's a lot easier to manoeuvre and use.
Okay first up who knew an eyebrow primer existed? Second up who knew you needed it? Well you do. Apparently if you use this baby every night before you go to bed it will help the growth of your brows (sort of like those eyelash serums - read my experience with them here). Truth be told I haven't personally seen much of a difference yet but I don't always use it everyday (I forget, sorry).
Again this is a product I was just like what is this, what does it do, do I really need this. However when I first got to test this one out at the launch event this was the product I was most impressed and surprised with. So it's basically a light glitter dusting really, (between a setting / gimme brow sort of product). I just feel like my brows look extra fancy when I put this on. I like to just lightly brush it through the start of my brows where it is lighter (and equally brushing off any extra darkness I have there).
There you have it. My run down of all of the products from the Benefit Brow range. I actually think Benefit are KILLING it right now and I have not stopped using Benefit on my brows since this package landed on my door. Plus how many more times can I say brows? BROWS BROWS BROWS. If you know me well brows and highlight are my everything.
Have you tried any yet? What are your favourites? AND would you like a video on this?
YES I want a video on these lovelies! |:) |:)
