Blimey here’s a subject and a half right? I’m just going to put it out there that when you’re in a serious relationship in your mid to late twenties it can get quite intense and worrying sometimes (or maybe that’s just me). I think because you are at that point in your life where you do just start to think about your future, mortgages, settling down blah blah blah. And that the person you are currently with could be a major part of those plans and future life.

Over the last few months I have been at a bit of a crossroads when it comes to this. Where it has been a mutual feeling between my boyfriend and I not knowing where we stand and whether we should continue. And actually this is a pretty important decision considering the age we are and what we want from our futures. I think it can be especially hard when boys (not all boys just the ones I’ve dated) can be on a different wavelength and mentally about 10 years behind you!

To be honest with you we are currently working through our problems and getting back on track but there is that worry in your head that what about if we continue for another two years and it doesn’t work out and then you’re in your late twenties with no life plan (a bit dramatic I know but hey we all think it). But I’ve decided to let that one go for the moment because I feel like I get so caught up in my future that I can’t actually enjoy my present. And as much as my boyfriend does my absolute head in sometimes, he’s lovely and makes me feel like no one else has before (read here). So I’ve decided to follow my heart on this one and choose love.
