Since getting my hands on the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum, I have been obsessed (spy those initials too). To be truthful I thought it was just a product for older people but actually it has so many benefits other than just to target wrinkles. It has a lot of antioxidants in which is great to repair your skin overnight letting your skin plump up and ready to go the next day. I use this just before I go to bed with 1 drop on each finger (5 drops in total) and rub it all over my face and then go in with a thick rich moisturiser (I love the Benefit one). I have to admit the ANR is a VERY expensive product but I’ve had this about 4 months and I’ve probably not even used a quarter of it yet! Plus it’s a pretty versatile product allowing you to use it in your other daily routines (thicken and hold your brows, a primer, de-thicken your moisturiser). You know when you first start using a new skincare product and you really see it the difference quickly which makes you instantly fall in love, yeah that! You can also get small little bottles (which are SO cute) so you can test it out and see the difference for yourself! I see these go in and out of stock very quickly so grab it when you can!

So I’m 25 and a skincare junkie and have messed about with anti-wrinkle products since I was about 15 but never really stuck to a routine. I just always remember my Grandma saying oh it’s too late now to fix these wrinkles, I needed that 20 years ago! But actually your mid-twenties is probably the age you should seriously be introducing these products into your daily routine. There’s been a very big trend around retinoids at the moment where people think that’s the only proper product that can help aging (which it isn’t) but it has very good results. The thing you need to be careful with these are it can really weaken your skin so if you are using one you need to make sure you are then wearing SPF everyday because your skins barriers are a lot more sensitive. I’ve never actually tried it as I’m a bit cautious as I think I would be rubbish at remembering to put on SPF everyday!

A few other anti-aging products I have been giving a test out recently (but I’m not religiously using them like the ANR just because I’m lazy). Is the Origins Plantscription which is this amazing serum specifically made to tackle anti aging which makes your skin a lot plumper. Apparently it really tackle any lines and wrinkles - which I can’t really comment on as I don’t have any yet! But I’ve done some research on reviews and it seems to get a lot of 5 star comments and noticeable reductions! I’m also using another member of the Estée Lauder Advance Night Repair family the eye cream which is a beautiful thick texture and gives me a cooling feeingl. When I apply this (or any eye cream for that matter) I always apply in an upward motion never downwards as you are pulling the skin downwards which has the opposite effect.

I mean I don’t technically need anti-aging products right now as I still get ID’d in bars (that I’ve been going to for the last 10 years!!) and have a pretty baby face but I think it’s important to help prevent later on in life! Let me know if you use any anti-aging products yet!
