Dermalogica Range* {Gifted as part of their Skinfluencer programme}

It was about a year ago Dermalogica approached me to see if I wanted to be part of their Skinfluencer programme. Being a absolute skincare junkie I was obviously very very excited to say a big fast YES! Before getting some lovely bits to try, I had never actually used the brand before but had always heard good reviews. I can be a bit funny when it comes to skincare as I like what I like and will be vocal if a product doesn't work for me because skincare is such a passion and hobby of mine. But I pretty much instantly fell in love with Dermalogica products (and not because they were free). Now don't get me wrong, they are expensive there is no doubt about that. However I have even repurchased some products myself after using them because they are such a cult product in my weekly/daily routine now. Head to my Instagram highlights to see when I first used some of the products + my journey.

So let's go into a bit of a deeper dive into the products and call out my absolute favourites. For me when I use their skincare products it all feels very natural and good for my skin, it doesn't seem to leave me with breakouts or red skin like some products with lots of acids and harsher ingredients can do sometimes.

My go-to products would definitely be the Cleansing Gel + Microfoliant and that's what I have sitting in my shower and use everyday. I really love cleansers generally so I always buzz when I find a new one I adore. The Cleanser leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clear, it just makes my face feel squeaky clean. I think the big bottle is around £50 but it lasts for a long time, as you don't need to squeeze much out. I would then use the Microfoliant after, which is a new product on me actually. It's a powder you pour out on wet hands and rub together to create a paste like texture. You then rub that on your face and continue to rub it in for a minute or so. This product is basically an exfoliator but it's made with rice so you could use this everyday without a problem. It's not harsh for you skin like some exfoliators which you should only use 2-3 times a week. And the best thing about this is your left with super soft skin (which you will want to keep touching!).

I also received the Pre-Cleanse which I had never heard of before and as the cleansing obsessed queen I am, I may have lost my shit a bit! I get to pre-cleanse and then I can double cleanse, life made (re-reading that whole sentence I think I need to get out more). This is a oil liquid which is used to take off your makeup, I do find this a little messy sometimes, to quickly bring the oil to your face without spilling it. Once you add water it goes more milky and you can really rub it into your skin and remove everything. The good thing about this stuff is once you wash it off you don't feel all shiny and oily. But I would go in with the Cleanser to make sure my face is super clean. I still mostly use a balm to remove my makeup rather than this but that's just down to preference. The toner spray is also a bit different to what I have used before. You basically spray all over your face and then get a cotton pad and dab in the product, it bubbles up a little bit on your face when you spray, which makes me think it's doing more than other toners I own. I actually really like this and I don't use it enough, I'm always so caught up in cleansing and face masking, I forget to tone. So need to start using this product more for sure!

A lot of the mini products I am still yet to try, however I have used the Cocoon Sleep Mask and it works wonders. I don't particularly have dry skin but I felt like my skin needed some TLC and was too lazy to go and do a mask and wash it off. So this was simple I popped it all over my face and then went to sleep. The next morning I woke up and my skin felt hydrated and plump! They do whole kits for around £35 where you can get lots of mini versions of the products so you can try out as well if you don't want to commit to the £££ yet.

I also received the more teen related products in the Clear Start range that target spots and breakouts, so let me know if you want a separate blog post on them!
