You know that feeling when you come home from a hairdressers and you're like what on earth do they put in my hair that makes it feel so thick, bouncy and healthy. Do they just have a magic touch? Is it because they are using hundreds of pounds of product? Well do not worry, I have managed to work out a weekly hair routine that gives me that effect. I know that this is a well known cult product but the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is a miracle in a tub. The first time I used it about a year ago it didn't really do much for my hair and I was very confused at the hype and price. But since receiving another tub a month of two back and actually following the instructions properly this time, man oh man it revives my dry and dull locks.

So basically you need to set some time out to do a full on hair pamper session. I like to have a bath so I can relax (put on a face mask) and let the products do their magic. You wet your hair, pop on the cream into sections of your hair. So I normally split the top of my head into four and then concentrate on the ends (as they really need some love). You then leave it in for 20 mintues, this is when the facemask comes in handy as they normally take 20 minutes, so you can kill two birds with one stone there, pop on some Netflix and have a little you time. I then wash and condition my hair (I have been using a lot of Bumble recently, read my review of their Thickening range here). But I have also been loving a Bumble & bumble Invisible Oil shampoo and then the Philip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Hydrating Conditoner (which I leave in for around 3 minutes before washing out).

Once I've done all of that and left the bath prune like, I will let my hair dry off a bit (so it's not dripping everywhere) and will add some extra TLC into my routine, which I do tend to mix up a lot. But recently I have been using a Bumble & bumble thickening spray serum (read about that here), then the Colour Wow dream coat which makes your hair less frizzy and gives you a shine. But you can only activate it by blowdrying your hair, so I would only blow-dry a little bit as I don't want to over heat my locks. Lastly I go in with the Bumble & bumble Invisible Oil Primer before I straighten my hair and I get through this stuff very quickly! Then if I want to add even more shine especially if I'm going out out, I will use the GHD Final Shine Spray which smells dreamy so basically even if you want your hair to smell nice after putting all of that straightener heat on it!

There you have it, how I found myself getting salon locks in the comfort of my own home. I've even had people telling me how glossy my hair looks and have I had my hair done recently, which makes me feel like it is all really working!
