It's 3.20pm, it's a Monday, it's cold, I've had back to back meetings. I've rushed outside to grab a quick outfit pic before my 3.30pm meeting. That's how this shot was captured. When I was uploading this outfit pic to the 'gram, I did pop a little story up saying that I do get down with my content sometimes, the fact that it's not all shiny and polished. But then equally I think it's important to show real life because let's face it at the end of the day I wore an outfit to work that I liked, wanted to document it and put it on my gram - it's that simple. If you like the outfit you like it and if not, cool. Don't get me wrong I would love to create content to the same level as some of the people I follow because it's freaking cool and beautiful. But actually I need to know that it's okay that I'm not doing that but can still be successful and create cool shit.

I think there could possibly even be a bit of a backlash to the blogging world and I think people are crying out for more 'real content'. People want to see spots, fat rolls, crinkled clothes because hey you know what it's life - we have all been there and done that and if everything isn't perfectly edited and planned out it's fine! This also comes into play with the mental health subject that actually the more of these 'perfect' people you see on Instagram it can have such a detrimental affect on your mental state. I actually unfollowed around 400 people today that weren't bringing anything to my feed and basically making me feel bad. Now thats nothing against them really but in terms if making me feel better about myself and this idea of beauty, I think it's important I'm not scrolling past them everyday. It's an odd one but I've recently found myself thinking that fillers and surgery are the only way to become 'pretty' like it's just such a normalised thing with the people I am following but actually that's not right and I need to start to realise that I don't need to get all this work done and not eat in order to be beautiful (and equally I'm not saying that's not beautiful because that's actually how I spend most of my days fantasising how I wish I looked). I just need to embrace myself and not compare myself as much.

So I think there is such an open space for smaller bloggers to just own their content and be more real on their feeds! This is the blogging 2.0.
