Save, Save, Save
I mean I know there's not a lot of spare cash going round after Christmas and it's really the longest thing ever to wait until that dreaded January payday. However it does give you a nice excuse to stay in and really embrace that JOMO. Instead of going out and spending lots of money you don't have (hello overdraft regret), stay in - home cook healthy yummy meals, pamper, watch all the Netflix shows. And the best thing is you don't even feel like a loser staying in because it's January and no-one blames you!
Grindin'
With all that spare time on your hands, this is also the month to grind. Whether that's going through all your old clothes (new year, new me vibes) and making some extra income on depop. Finally putting time into all your content plans: be it YouTube videos, Blogging, Podcasting, start turning those plans and dreams into reality.
Stop Putting Things Off
I am all for a procrastination and will always try and put things on my to-do list at the end of the week but actually biting the bullet works out so much better. This is something I've really been trying to do in my personal life and my work life and it's so good! Who knew just getting shit done, rather than thinking 'Oh I've got to do that thing' all week works out better?!
Health
I'm very into going to the gym on a Friday/Saturday night, an easy way to fill your non-existent evenings and you leave feeling accomplished. I know it's cliche but I'm just going to take all the motivation I have to try and get a banging body and run up the stairs without dying #2019Goals
Organising
Now not to rub it in but I am a self-confessed organised queen, I have daily to-do lists, weekly to-do lists, monthly to-do lists, content spreadsheets for both personal and work life. This is something I have always done and will always do, so this isn't just a January thing for me. But there is something in physically writing out all the crap you've got going on in your head sometimes. You can work out what you need to prioritise, what you need to do that week or where to go. So I love having a big notepad so in the evenings I can write out the things I have to do for the next day. I will normally use Evernote as well to update my on-the-go app so I know what I need to do too (very extra I know).
The Little Things
One last one, just enjoy the little things. Whether that's wearing a new bright lipstick, cooking a banging health meal your proud of, doing those extra 5 mins on the treadmill, cuddling up with your loved one, posting a photo you love. Just enjoy.
